(referred to further on this page as EAST R/C) issues this statement about our policies regarding the gathering of information from visitors to our website. Privacy is everyone’s concern and EAST R/C is committed to protecting your online shopping rights. In general, we use information we collect from you to process orders. The following details what information is collected, how it is protected, and how it is used.

E-mail Addresses

EAST R/C will not sell, trade, or give away e-mail addresses that results from contacts with website visitors or customers. Your e-mail address will not be made available to any third party companies or persons. EAST R/C will not send unsolicited mass emailing to website visitors or customers.

Credit Card Information

EAST R/C will not sell, trade, or give away any credit card information it may obtain through purchases that results from contact with website visitors. Credit card information including credit card numbers, expiration dates, or customer names and addresses are not stored on any server database. All personal information received by EAST R/C from persons placing orders will be held by us exclusively.

Secure Server

EAST R/C provides the use of a secure server utilizing Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology when you place your order. All information is encrypted by software using 128 bit encryption before it is sent to us. You can verify the presence of SSL security on your browser task bar when you access the web page titled "Secure Order Form". This is the only page on this website that contains personal data. We receive the order from the encrypted server. Your personal information is not stored on any server data base. Once we receive your order information we use this information to process your order for shipment. Afterwards, all access to this information is limited and protected against unauthorized use. 

EAST R/C guarantees your transaction is safe and secure. EAST R/C secure server is certified by Verisign. You can view the security certificate by double-clicking the SSL icon in your browser task bar when viewing the "Secure Order Form" page. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Customer Contacts

EAST R/C reserves the right to maintain records of customers, or persons that have expressed interest in receiving information from EAST R/C. We will maintain records of purchases, including name, address, phone number, and email address in order to keep our customers informed of any important information regarding our products.

Newsletter Mailing List

Customers have the ability to join a newsletter mailing list by signing up and furnishing their email address to EAST R/C. This mailing list is managed by a third party company and is used exclusively by EAST R/C to inform customers of upcoming events or new products. Customers have a right to unsubscribe from the newsletter mailing list at any time by sending a blank email to EAST R/C-request@freelists.org with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

Cookies

EAST R/C does not utilize cookies on its website, or in its shopping cart program.

Photographs and Graphics

EAST R/C retains the right to publish on our website any photographs or graphics received from website visitors or customers. These images may be used in catalogs, our website, advertising or in other publications or media as we deem necessary. All photographs and graphics submitted to EAST R/C become the property of EAST R/C and we retain the right to crop, resize or alter any images for our use. EAST R/C will not publish the names of the owners of any motorcycle whose images are published without the written consent of the owner.

Website Tracking

EAST R/C uses a website tracking utility that enables us to learn certain aspects about our website visitors. These items include the domain name, time zone, referring URL, browser type, operating system, entry and exit pages of the visitor, and the time and length of the visit. We are not able to, nor do we want to detect the visitors email address.

This information is used by EAST R/C to help us build a better website. It enables us to know where and how our visitors are finding our website, entering our site, and to help us optimize our site for easy navigation and use.
