Quickie 380 -
The Rutan #54 Quickie Q1 designed by Burt Rutan is a very unique plane. The full scale plane only had a wingspan of 16'8", so it
was pretty small, and the pilot definitely filled up the cockpit! This is a small 380 sized electric version. We also carry
an actual quarter scale version that has a 51-1/4" wingspan. See the 1/4 Scale Q1 Section by
clicking HERE. As for the Quickie 380, it is a sweet little electric that you can
easily throw in the back seat or the trunk for those quick, late afternoon flights. It has great flight characteristics just like
it's big brother. You'll be sure to get a lot of attention with this unique bird. Thanks for having a vivid imagination Burt!
To complete the Quickie 380 you'll need: 3 Micro Servos, for maximum performance and so
you don't have to worry about prop strikes, use our 2212/06 motor with a 30A ESC, a 3S Lipo, and a 6x5.5 APC prop.
