A VERY complete kit!
Long-EZ #61 - The Long-EZ #61 is a neat semi-scale
model of the famous Long-Ez by Burt Rutan (Rutan #61). This was one of his most popular homebuilts,
featuring a stall-resistant canard design. An outstanding performer, this airplane is a joy to fly
and a conversation piece at the flying field! The Canard design is very efficient, and while very
stable and nearly stall-proof, this airplane has the ability to be very fast!
This kit is unbelievable... The well designed fuse is built of lightened ply, and sheeted in balsa. The
result is a very strong AND light fuselage (photos 7 & 8). The removable hatch makes for easy
access to the radio system and fuel tank (photo 9). It comes with two beautiful cowlings...on for
the rear engine area, and the other for the nose of the fuse (photo 10). The kit is supplied with
a pair of fiberglass wheel pants w/ply reinforcements already installed (photos 11 & 12). One heck
of a complete kit (photo 13)!
