Alex Porter, Willow Springs NC - At age 10 (as of this writing in early '08), Alex has been flying remote control airplanes solo since age five. Alex
is a four time participant in the Matt Chapman Youth Master’s held in Woodruff, South Carolina. Alex has completed two seasons competing in
the SE Regional IMAC. Alex spent the 2006 IMAC season in the Basic class flying a 35% airplane. Alex also started the 2007 IMAC season flying
the same 35% airplane until he experienced engine problems and had to switch to a 40% airplane as a backup. Alex continued to fly the 40% airframe
for the rest of that year. As the 2007 IMAC season came to a close, Alex had competed in competitions from as far north as Warrington
Virginia, southwest to Pratteville Alabama, and as far south as Jacksonville Florida were he earned the title of SE IMAC Regional’s Sportsman

Alex plans to compete in eight or more IMAC competitions in 2008 including the 2008 National Championships in Muncie, Indiana. Alex

At the Fly for Tot’s Alex had the pleasure of a brief discussion with Quique about practice techniques and gaining knowledge from other pilots.
Quique commented to Robert Vess, about his interest for our sport.
Alex’s school grades are well above average. Feel free to ask any SE IMAC
Pilot about Alex Porter and they are sure to give him praise that is well deserved. He is truly an amazing pilot and has to be one of the most
polite kids in our sport today.
Over the past five years Alex has been pictured in several nationally distributed magazines featuring remote control planes and their
pilots. East R/C is PROUD to be a sponsor of this up-and-coming new contest pilot!
