A Ride through the Florida Keys, 5/20-28/00

These are pictures from a journey through the Florida Keys in May of 2000. LoRidr, BlueAngel, Gypsy, and I decided to make a little vacation run down to Key West Florida on the motorcycles. This is a picture of my bike, along side of LoRidr, early in the morning of 5/20. It was still dark, but I was able to enhance the photos enough to make them viewable from the website... If you can see it, notice the load of luggage on my bike.

Here's another shot of my bike, loaded down for the trip. I had both of my new H-D Road King saddlebags full, as well as a large T-Bag and another leather carry case packed full. There were two motorcycle covers strapped to the top of the rear travel bag, too. The windshield bag and tool roll were also full, as well as the digital camera being strapped to the handlebars.

This is LoRidr's bike, loaded for the trip, heheheheh. The extent of her luggage is her small fanny pack she wears on trips. Man, it's tough being cool. My bike usually ends up being the 'pack mule' for trips like this.

This is a picture of me, as I waited for Gypsy and BlueAngel to arrive. Even loaded this heavily, I still get over 50 mpg's from this bike.
